listening to: Coldplay- Scientist

I think this is week five of the semester, although it really doesn't feel like it, and at the same time, summer feels like it was years ago. If I could describe the semester so far in two words, it would be hurricane'd drama. The first time we got evacuated Hannah and I went to Cape Coral and spent the weekend in a shelter. Well, actually it was Hannah's parents house, but it could have been a shelter there were so many people. At one point there were 23 people staying in the house, the majority under 21 years old! So it was an interesting weekend to say the least. We hadn't gotten any partying out of our system at her parent's house, so on Sunday night, back on campus, three of us got smashed in the lawn of Kolasa. The next day I cringed at the evidence pictures. We tried the whole school thing again, and that went okay for a while. We had a massive dinner for Kristen's birthday at Buca di Beppo. We're so happy she is finally 20. Then Jack turned 21 last week, and convinced us to celebrate his "birthday week" by going to AJ Roxx on a random Wednesday night at 11. Definitely seemed like a good idea at the time, but not the next morning when I couldn't get up for my 8am class. Then it was Dawn's birthday and an entire chapter in our little book of Drama. You know it was a good party when there is cake all over the walls at the end of the night, and the guy you were flirting with all night ends up naked and puking on your gay best friend's floor at five in the morning. Ahhh, good times.
Then my room got broken into, but nothing was stolen. Go figure.
So then, out of nowhere, Hurricane Jean decides to make a 90 degree turn and beeline straight for Florida, following the exact same path as Hurricane Frances from two weeks before. We weren't about to stay in any shelter in Thompson Hall, so Jack Hannah and I stayed with Candice. We met some British boys at the Jacuzzi on Sunday, who proved to me that British boys are equally as stupid as American boys. I hate boys.
Anyway, Im all out of stuff to say for now, but I'll be sure to make blogging time now that the internet should be on for good.

Aight, so, school is finally in full swing. Last week hardly counts since it consisted of three whole days before Hurricane Frances interrupted. I started getting too used to the break, and dreaded going back to class again this morning. But just like that dumb hurricane, it was inevitable. Here are my observations
Tuesday/Thursday classes are too long.
The new cafeteria is just like a cute boy, fun to look at but is completely incompetent. I think I'd much prefer Thompson.
DES thinks its a great idea to let most of the Fin Aid and Admissions counselors take vacation during the busiest two weeks of the year.
The cafeteria is also Facist.

Thats all I have to say for now.

Oh yeah. I turned 21!! woo hoo.
