Friday Five


1. What is your lineage? Where are your ancestors from?
My mom is half Italian and half english, and my dad is African American and Native American.




2. Of those countries, which would you most like to visit? Most definitely Italy. Italians are soo sexy! ;) lol




3. Which would you least like to visit? Why? Hmm. Lets see. England? I dunno. My mental image of England is grey and damp. I imgagine a gray sky, with nondescript gray buildings, and people wearing gray coats.



4. Do you do anything during the year to celebrate or recognize your heritage?4 Well not really, no. Well does Black history month count?




5. Who were the first ancestors to move to your present country (parents, grandparents, etc)? Well Im not exactly sure, but my grandfather on my dads side told me how my family got our last name. Apparently when the slaves were freed way back when, my Great great great etc...grandparents took the last name of the slaveowner. Jenkins is a Welsh name. So the African American Jenkins probably came from family members who were slaves in the same plantatation. I know practically nothing about the family on my mothers side because she grew up in foster care and doesnt know her parents very well. She doesnt know anything about her dad at all other than his name Louis Splendora.



I cant beleive its 3am. I am gonna sleep all day tomorrow to make up for all the sleep I lost when I had to wake up early everyday this week. I think maybe Ill go to the beach and try to get some color back... Im fading away again. So sad, how can you live on an island in the caribbean, yet still be pale?? I dun get it.
also I think I might go see the Austin Powers movie, *mumble* with my little sister Yes, OK i said with my little sister! Gosh. I dont always have to go out with friends. (what friends?)
*sigh* this weekend is going to be too short I can tell. Ill just have to sleep as much as I can.

Work was good today, but if its not one thing its another...I had a bad day anyway. Talking to a person who half-listens to you is one of the most frustrating things in the world. They cut you off in the middle of your sentence and say something that has no relevence to what you are trying to say. I hate arguments like that because you dont get anywhere, you just go round and round in cirlces GRR! *whimper* cue: i dont need to walk around in circles walk around in cirlces walk around in cirlces If you are gonna argue with someone at all you should at least get some where with logic and reason, instead of hurling accusations at each other at the top of your lungs. So...add another to the growing list of reasons why I am NEVER coming back here...
so ya,anyway. Another summer student started Monday working in the Unemployment Office. Today they had me helping him with a project, but other than that he works on the other side (a different department) so I dont really interact with him much. But he seems nice, pretty friendly. At least Im not the youngest person in the office anymore. They also set my up with my own computer :P I have my own desk and everything.
Two and a half more weeks till I leave for Miami. :D

k now i gotta go wash my hair.
